Recently, Robin from the KIIS 973 Breakfast Show went Whale Watching with Sunreef in Mooloolaba, where the boat crew shared an interesting theory: They believe that playing the song “The Horses” by Daryl Braithwaite encourages humpback whales to breach more often! This song has essentially become the unofficial theme for humpback whales in 2023, as every time it was played on the boat, the whales would breach!
We’re having trouble convincing Kip that this phenomenon is real, so we’re going to test this wild theory ourselves—along with a bunch of KIIS 973 listeners, of course!
