Pop-Punk Goddess Avril Lavigne has surprised, delighted and probably confused some people overnight at the 15th Annual ACM Honors (Academy Of Country Music Awards).
Yeah, ya black eye liner donning, tattoo having, skater-shorts wearing girl jumped on stage and performed Shania Twain’s country hit ‘No One Needs To Know’. BUT WHY!? I hear you scream with confusion. Shania Twain earned the ACM Poet’s Award which celebrates “an international superstar and one of Country Music’s most versatile and invigorating songwriters, with instantly-recognizable hits and the title of top-selling female Country Pop artist of all time,” according to the Academy of Country Music.
Check out the incredible cover below (and peep Shania singing in the crowd)!
