With Barbie being the number one movie since it’s release it has earned over a $1 Billion at the box office and those profits are set to be relayed to it’s star.
Variety reports that Margot Robbie is set to make $50 million from the film, that’s including both salary and box-office bonuses.
Not to mention Robbie produced the film through her LuckyChap Entertainment production company which will no doubt receive bonuses due to the movie’s huge success.
Both Robbie and co-star Ryan Gosling reportedly both earned $12.5 million for their respective roles in the film. Which is more than Kenough.
Barbie’s massive success may have been a surprise to the public but when Robbie pitched the film she said that it could be a billion dollar movie.
“I think my pitch in the green-light meeting was the studios have prospered so much when they’re brave enough to pair a big idea with a visionary director,” Robbie told Collider.
“And I was like, ‘And now you’ve got Barbie and Greta Gerwig, and I think I told them that it’d make a billion dollars, which maybe I was overselling, but we had a movie to make, OK?!”
It turned out that Robbie wasn’t overselling it at all and it is indeed a billion dollar film.
