Typically, celebrities sit with the hosts of “The View” when they visit the show, but Monday morning saw a delightful twist. Ryan Reynolds surprised the hosts by joining the audience, leaving them visibly startled.

“You never know what’s going on here at ‘The View,’” Whoopi Goldberg remarked midway through the show. “You look over and go, ‘Oh, snap! There’s Ryan Reynolds!’” The camera then revealed the “Deadpool” star seated in the front row.

Reynolds explained his unexpected appearance. “My mom is visiting and really wanted to see ‘The View.’ This is way less stressful than being up there,” he joked. Mama Reynolds, a devoted fan, watches the show daily and recorded this episode despite being in the audience.

Alyssa Farah Griffin welcomed them warmly and couldn’t resist quipping, “Tell Blake to come on!” Even guest comedian Jo Koy was thrilled, exclaiming, “Oh my god! I know her!”

As a special treat, the hosts invited Reynolds’ mom on stage to deliver Whoopi’s signature sign-off: “Have a great day everybody, and take a little time to enjoy the view.”
