Canadians in the nations capital, Toronto, will now be able to order weed straight to their door via the Uber Eats app. Yes, Mary-Jane, Marijuana, bit of hash.
Uber Eats partnered up with a cannabis website Leafly for the service. It’s the first time a third party app has taken part in weed deliveries – ever!
The service is to help combat the illegal market as mentioned by the General Manager of Uber Eats Canada, Lola Kassim, “We are partnering with industry leaders like Leafly to help retailers offer safe, convenient options for people in Toronto to purchase legal cannabis for delivery to their homes, which will help combat the illegal market and help reduce impaired driving…”
So if you’re travelling to Canada, you can add a little something extra to your Uber Eats order!
