Three decades after their iconic debut with Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” Chocolate Starfish is back with a new single, “The Candyman Blues,” blending two classic 70s hits.

“The Candyman Blues” will be performed live for the first time this week in Victoria, marking the start of their “Best of Everything” 30th Anniversary Tour. The tour spans four months with 24 high-energy shows across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

“The Candyman Blues” uniquely fuses “The Candy Man” from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory with The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues.” Frontman Adam Thompson explains the creative process: “We needed something more for the traditional ‘Candy Man.’ During a long drive through the NT, it hit me that the song could be paired with ‘Roadhouse Blues’ riffs.”

The new single promises to have audiences singing and stomping throughout the tour. Tickets for all shows, including the new October 6 show, are available at www.chocolatestarfish.com.au.
