Probs not, but something weird is definitely going on.

Over the weekend someone found what appears to be a MERMAID CARCASS washed up on a Northern Queensland beach. I know you’ll read that and think “a mermaid? gimme a break” but I implore you to take a squiz at the photos before making up your mind.

Bobbi-lee Oates posted the photos to a Marine Biology Facebook Page asking for assistance in identifying what the creature actually was. While there were a heap of people chiming in, someone who knows what they’re talking about, Rob Deaville from the Zoological Society of London, told news.com.au that it “looks like a small cetacean”. I don’t know what a cetacean is but it must be Latin for mermaid.
